Unlocking a district paused mid-stride
Halleys Central was mined in 2015 and then went quiet. Normandy Minerals’ consolidation changed that. Now systematic testing along strike, at depth, and across the multiple prospects reveals what dormancy left behind. It is geology waiting to be reopened.
Depth
Testing pit walls and down-dip extensions
The Halleys Central starter pit operated briefly in 2015, producing roughly 18,000 ounces. It did not close because the gold ran out. Mineralisation remains in the pit walls, open at depth and along strike. Recoveries of 92% on oxide and 88% on fresh material confirm the metallurgy is amenable.
Extension
Crabman, the next growth frontier
Along strike to the south-west hosts the Crabman prospect — a thick, high-grade historical hit with intersections including 3m at 9.4 g/t Au and 3m at 5.2 g/t Au. Drilling remains shallow, the structure is highly disturbed by historical prospectors, and the mining licence application process is commenced.
