Privacy
Normandy Minerals Pty Ltd (ACN 693 252 578, ABN 15 693 252 578) ("Normandy Minerals", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and the personal information we collect. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your personal information, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
By using our website or providing your information to us, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
The information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities. This may include:
- Information you provide directly — when you submit an enquiry through our contact form, subscribe to receive company updates, request a copy of our prospectus, or otherwise correspond with us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number and the contents of your message.
- Information collected automatically — when you visit our website, our servers and our analytics tools may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. Our analytics tools may also record how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movements.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we do not collect personal information from children.
How we collect your information
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form, subscribe to our updates, or contact us by email or telephone. We also collect information automatically through cookies and analytics technologies (see below). Where it is lawful and practicable to do so, you may interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to help the site function, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. We use Google Analytics (provided by Google) and Microsoft Clarity (provided by Microsoft) to compile aggregated statistics about website traffic and visitor behaviour. Microsoft Clarity also produces heat maps and session recordings, which show how visitors move through, scroll and click on our pages. Clarity masks the text you type into form fields in its session recordings. These services set their own cookies and process information on our behalf. Google and Microsoft may also use information collected through these services for their own purposes, as described in their own privacy statements.
When you first visit the site, a banner tells you that we use analytics cookies and links to this policy. Most web browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the website.
Content from other websites
Some pages show content provided by other companies. When this content loads, your browser connects to that company's servers, which receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and which may set their own cookies. Each company handles this information under its own privacy policy.
- Videos (YouTube and Vimeo) — a video first shows a preview image, served from our own website, and a play button. Your browser does not contact YouTube or Vimeo until you press play. The video then loads from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, or from Vimeo with its "Do Not Track" setting.
- Share price information (TradingView) — where a page shows our share price chart or ticker, it loads from TradingView when you open that page.
- Map (Google Maps) — the map on our Contact page loads from Google Maps when you open that page.
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide the information you request;
- send you company updates, announcements or newsletters where you have asked to receive them;
- operate, maintain, analyse and improve our website; and
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We will only use your information for the purpose for which it was collected, for a directly related purpose, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. If you have subscribed to updates, you may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your information to:
- third-party service providers who help us operate our website and business — for example, website hosting and form processing, email and newsletter platforms, and analytics providers — who are required to handle your information consistently with this policy;
- our professional advisers; and
- government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers (including website hosting, form, email and analytics providers such as Netlify, Cloudflare, Resend, Google, Microsoft and Mailchimp) may store or process information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. The companies that provide content from other websites (Google for YouTube and Google Maps, Vimeo and TradingView) may also process information outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access. There is generally no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee to cover our costs in some circumstances.
Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will investigate and respond to your complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
